    - Arturo Vidal is officially close to Inter Milan, which binds him on a two-year contract including an option for a third year, after being brought in free from Barcelona on Tuesday.

Barca were initially reported to have asked for a transfer fee of one million euros in order to release the midfielder, but it was later discovered that the deal only covered bonuses for the player's performances.

He arrived on Sunday evening local time at Milan's Linate International Airport, underwent a medical on Monday morning, and signed a contract at Inter headquarters this afternoon, Inter's official website announced. Vidal returned to the Italian League after playing for Juventus in 2011 to 2015.

At that time he worked with current Inter coach, Antonio Conte, to help Juve win three successive Italian League titles. The 33-year-old Chile international is no stranger to playing at giant clubs, having previously played at Bayern Munich and Barca. While playing for Juve, he made 124 appearances in the Italian League, scored 35 goals and provided 22 assists.
