    - West Ham United manager David Moyes and two of his players, Issa Diop and Josh Cullen, have contracted COVID-19, the club reported on its official website. The news was released by the Premier League club as they were making preparations to play the English League Cup match against Hull City at London Stadium. West Ham United can confirm that David Moyes, Issa Diop and Josh Cullen have returned positive tests for COVID-19. - West Ham United (@WestHam) September 22, 2020 The three figures will now be required to carry out independent isolation.

    "The manager and the two players immediately left the stadium and have returned home," said a club statement.

    West Ham said the three figures had no symptoms, and assistant manager Alan Irvine would take over the team for the fight Hull. Diop and Cullen were supposed to be played for that match. UK Health Services Guidelines state that people infected with COVID-19 must undergo self-isolation for at least ten days. As such Moyes, Diop and Cullen will not attend training or the league game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 27 September. Information about the three West Ham figures infected with COVID-19 emerged hours after the Premier League Cup third round match between Leyton Orient and Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday was canceled, because a number of home players were infected with the virus.
